The Glienicke Bridge crosses the Havel. Nowhere else do the German capital Berlin and the Brandenburg state capital Potsdam meet more closely. The building was erected in 1907 and during the Cold War it became known worldwide as the "Spy Bridge". The world powers USA and Soviet Union exchanged their spies over this bridge.
