The Brandenburg Gate is located at the western end of Brandenburger Straße. It was built as early as 1770 and was thus built many years before the famous Brandenburg Gate in Berlin. In the adjoining historical buildings, cosy cafés and restaurants invite you to stop for a bite to eat.

Luisenplatz, the square in front of the Brandenburg Gate on the side facing the park, was extensively redesigned between 1999 and 2000. Rows of Linden trees were planted and a fountain was placed in the middle of the square.
